How to Set up a Proxy on an iPhone.
Most people who use proxies do so on their work laptop or desktop systems, but what if you wanted to use proxies with an iPhone? For some apps, it may be beneficial for you to use a phone with your residential or mobile proxies.
Typically that would mean rooting your phone to give apps access to network settings.
In this tutorial, we are going to teach you
step-by-step how to set up a residential proxy with an iPhone right out of the box.
It takes about 5 minutes to set up and can be done without any additional applications.
Step 1: Open settings and click on the WiFi options.
Step 2: Make sure you are connected to WiFi and click the information bubble to set up the network to use a proxy.
Step 3: Scroll down to HTTP settings and choose manual. From here you will input your details from ProxyEmpire. Please use the HTTP protocol with an iPhone device. Click on authorization and place the username/password. Note that if you change location the authentication will change too within the proxy manager of your account.
That’s it! now your iPhone is configured to use a residential or mobile proxy from ProxyEmpire.
Usually, your applications will also use this proxy but you can make sure they do by using Safari to view
the mobile versions of websites.
